Since 2003, we have been working to provide for children who have been orphaned, abandoned, neglected, and abused. We give them shelter, food, an education, and hope.
Our Mission
Transforming Uganda is a child-advocacy ministry that pairs compassionate people with those who are suffering from poverty. Our ministry helps children who have been born into spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty by giving them hope and opportunity; enabling them to reach their full potential. We aspire for each child to become fulfilled so they can become responsible adults capable of creating change within their own society.

Holistic Child Development through Sponsorship
Transforming Uganda recognizes that promoting wellbeing requires a holistic approach. We take in all accounts of the child’s life and the factors that affect them. We understand that each factor compiles on the other and we encourage independence as the child develops. We take a long-term approach to support healthy development in four areas—physical, spiritual, social and academic
What We Provide
Our organization cares for the whole child: body, mind and spirit. By sponsoring a Ugandan child you will help provide for him or her in the following ways:
- A quality education
- 3 meals per day
- Medical attention
- School clothing
- A home with a house mum
Above all else your monthly sponsorship does something beyond the tangible needs of the children. A sponsor gives these vulnerable children a sense of belonging and self-worth. For them it is the knowledge that someone believes in them enough to support them financially throughout their education that truly transforms their lives.

When we ask our children what they are most thankful for the most common response is, "I am thankful for my sponsor". When a child learns that someone has chosen to sponsor them, their response is priceless. A large amount of our children are orphaned, most others have been abandoned, leaving them with a very little sense of self-worth. Choosing to sponsor a child gives that boy or girl food, shelter, security, and an education but above all else choosing to support one of our children gives them self-value and hope for a brighter future.
