Menilik is in P.1 (first grade). His favorite subject is english. When he grows up he says he would like to be a pilot. He enjoys playing with his friends when he is not in class. His father came to work as a social worker in Uganda, then Menilik's mother died and his father became ill. It is now nearly impossible for his father to pay for Menilik's school fee's. He has one brother (Lewi) who attends school with him while they both await having a sponsor. 

* Menilik was born HIV positive. Transforming Uganda is currently paying for Menilik to receive medicine to help keep him healthy.
