Allan is in P.5 (fifth grade), his favorite subject is science. When he grows up he would like to become a doctor. For fun he enjoys playing football (soccer) with his friends. Allan's mother left when he was a baby and has only visited him twice since then. His father was a soldier, he went away and never returned, they do not know what happened to him. Allan has a brother and a sister that live with his grandmother and cannot afford to go to school. Allan began school as a paying student but his grandmother cannot afford to pay his school fees any longer.
